From the late 1800s to today, with pride and passion
The origins
The first balloon production in Italy dates back to the early 1900s, and one of its pioneers was our great-grandfather Rocca Angelo di Picicco.
At the end of the nineteenth century, along the Marseille coast in France, our great-grandfather Rocca Angelo (known as Angeliglio di Picicco, born 1868, died 1950), his brother Clemente (born 1858, died 1941) and our other young but enterprising great-grandfather Rocca Angelo (known as Angeliglio glie Rocca, born 1891, died 1960) were itinerant balloon sellers supplied by a German factory.
Returning to Italy in the early 1900s, with a cart and a horse, they became balloon manufacturers themselves.
